Our Story

Reis’s Angel Arms Foundation was created to bring light to the shadow of loss.

On September 12, 2025, the world got a little darker in the absence of Reis Landon Yoc-Santos. We lost Reis in a tragic accident that took him without warning and without a “good bye.” Reis is our beloved son. Our brother. Our grandson, our nephew, cousin and friend.

 This  nonprofit is his legacy.

When experiencing a loss as devastating as ours, you don’t just want life to stop. You need it to stop. Through our loss and our grief, we realized taking time to process, to cope and grieve isn’t always possible. Life keeps going and it keeps asking more of you. The world keeps spinning, even in the midst of your grief.

When we lost Reis, we couldn’t stop. We couldn’t be still. We couldn’t grieve.

We had to plan. We had to prepare. We had to make phone calls, transfer money, schedule meetings, write the checks, pick the casket, pick the music, arrange the eulogy. And when the funeral ended, we had to Keep. Going.

Through our experience, we realized that the way our friends and family lifted us up in both prayer and support was how all bereaved parents and siblings should be covered. We saw a need for financial, legal and mental health support for anyone who found themselves in a situation like ours.

We saw so many young lives lost in the days and weeks following his death, and we felt their pain. We wanted to help, but how?

In Reis’s Instagram Bio we found a bible verse that eventually sparked an idea.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

Reis completely exemplified this verse throughout his entire life. He held no grudges, forgiving almost instantly. He held space for everyone and he was always kind. Always looking for for a way to help. Humbly loving others well out of the pureness of his heart.

Inspired by who Reis was, the wink he seemed to have left us in that verse, the need for grief to be met with true support, and the desire to shed light on those walking through darkness, our mission was born.
